Stunnix Perl Web Server is designed as a backend for writing cross-platform browser-based applications that feel like native ones. It's supported on all versions of MS WIndows, all Unix-like operating systems and Apple MacOSX. It's very similar to most popuplar Apache web server in configuration settings and runtime environment and support for standards like SSI, CGI, XCGI and PathInfo, thus allowing easy porting of scripts between these web servers. thus allowing easy porting of scripts between these web servers.

Advanced tools included that allow packing Stunnix Perl Web Server, entire web site, perl interpreter itself and all core modules required into a single executable file, that doesn't require Perl interpreter to be present in the system; when such executable is run, web server is automatically started on first free port (if it's not started already) and the site is opened in the browser. Also template of CDROM prototype is provided that allows to make CDROMs with Perl interpreter and its core modules for several platforms, web server and site to be put on CD; once such CD is inserted into tray, web server is started automatically, and site opened in user's browser. Sample CDROM prototype and standalone executables for several platforms are available online.

Stunnix Perl Web Server is best used for cross-platform browser-based applications and CDROMs with presentations and databases on them. It's used for browser-based user interface called Project Manager for a family of Stunnix Obfucators like Stunnix JavaScript Obfuscator and Stunnix Perl Obfuscator.
